JRBP Survey vs Trails Hito
Side-by-side comparison of two open source alternatives
JRBP Survey
The Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve ant survey regularly surveys the species of ants in each of hundreds of locations across the preserve. This application helps people navigate to the correct locations, identify ants, record observations, and upload them to a central database. Note: This application is intended only for registered volunteers participating in the ant survey. For more information about the ant survey, see https://jrbp.stanford.edu/research/jrbp-ant-survey .
Trails Hito

This app also displays the user location, either by single location updates or by enabling the continuous location feature. No data is stored or sent outside your phone. This apps does not contain any trails, it is only a viewer for existing trail files. Low battery consumption.
