Anchr for Android vs Nock Nock
Side-by-side comparison of two open source alternatives
Anchr for Android
Anchr.io is a useful little helper or toolbox or the like for common tasks on the internet and this is the official Android app for managing link collections. While browsing the web on your mobile phone, you can save links for later – with an optional description for easier search and separated into separate categories / collections. Manage all your bookmarks in the cloud and access them from anywhere and any device. This project was built in addition to Anchr.io and is open-source on GitHub.
Nock Nock
The app will automatically knock on the door of your websites (or web servers) on a chosen interval to make sure they are up and responding successfully. If something is wrong, you get a notification telling you so. How does it check if your server is up? An HTTP GET request is made, the response code is checked. Nock Nock can also do custom validation on the response, by searching for a term, or even by executing a custom block of JavaScript.
